Lipperhey.com is an online web analyzing tool that can be used to perform SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for websites. The site offers both free and paid reports of its analysis and rates the website in four major categories – Technical, SEO, Popularity and Overall. A free report includes ratings in the four categories, the status codes returned by the website, incoming links found, and warnings about major problems found such as if the site is using iframes, which are not search engine friendly. It also includes the ranking of up to 3 keywords in the major search engines. A paid report delivers much more detail about the technical aspects of the website as well as what could be done to improve the search engine visibility of the site. A paid report also offers the ability to analyze more keywords for the site. The user has a dashboard, which shows a list of the sites they have analyzed. Analysis of a website can take from a few minutes to as much as an hour or more, depending on the size of the website. Once a site has been analyzed, the results can be viewed by selecting a link from the user's dashboard. The dashboard is where the user can order a paid report. The user is notified via email when this report becomes available each month.

Competition to Lipperhey.com comes from sites such as The Reaction Engine, which provides a free detailed analysis of websites. The Reaction Engine is a hobby project and is advertising and donation-supported. Other competition includes W3Optimizer.com, which provides a limited free report, and provides a more detailed analysis to PRO members who pay the $9.95 per month Pro subscription price. All three of these site provide very similar data and analysis on websites.

The Lipperhey.com has a very clean and uncluttered look and feel. The site is quite responsive, and page loads happen quickly. Navigation is intuitive, with a convenient top menu bar provided for various sections of the site. The website analysis is quite responsive, although reports for larger sites can take some time to be generated. There is no advertising displayed on the Lipperhey.com site.

Registration to the Lipperhey.com site is free and is not required to use the site for free analysis. The registration process asks for first and last name, email address and password. Validation of the email address is not required.

A free membership provides only a basic analysis of the site with rankings in the various categories and analysis based on up to three keywords. Comparison of the website and monthly reports are also free. A comprehensive report including detailed analysis is available for a fee of $75.
